Units of Study

Each year the School of Geosciences delivers many Units of Study under the auspices of several award courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Full details of each Unit of Study on offer can be found by choosing from the following tables.

Undergraduate Units of Study

The School of Geosciences offers undergraduate Units of Study across a range of discipline areas. The majority of Units are taught in either the Geography or Geology and Geophysics discipline areas but the School also delivers Units within the Environmental Science and Marine Science disciplines.

Undergraduate Units of Study are separated into three groups: Junior, Intermediate and Senior Units of Study. Full information about every Unit, including course outline and prerequisite knowledge can be found by folllowing the links below:

Postgraduate Units of Study

Postgraduate Units of Study are delivered by the School as part of four different postgraduate coursework programs. These award courses are the articulated Applied Science (Environmental Science), Applied Science (Spatial Information Science) and Master of Environmental Science and Law program as well as the Human Rights program.

Many of the postgraduate Units of Study offered by the School can be undertaken in any of these four coursework programs. The following tables list all postgraduate Units offered by the School sorted by the programs under which they can be taken. A full list of all Units of Study offered in these coursework programs can be found in the Faculty of Science handbook. * Please note that whilst these Units are options within the Spatial Information Science award course, they are not taught by the School of Geosciences.
