Majoring in Geography

The basic requirement for majoring in geography is that students complete 24 credit points of Senior Geography Units of Study. This is achieved by enrolling in two Senior Geography Units per semester.

These 24 credit points of Senior Geography must include GEOS 3015/3915 and GEOS 3018/3918 (for students specialising in physical geography) OR at least two of GEOS 3513/3913, GEOS 3014/3914, GEOS 3522/3922 and GEOS 3521/3921 (for students specialising in human/environmental geography). Other Senior Geography units that can be counted towards the major are GEOS 3053/3953, GEOS 3054/3954 and GEOS 3009/3909.

Any students who are uncertain as to what combination of Units will best serve their interests should contact the School's third year coordinator.
