Research Interests and Brief CV

Nicolas is working as a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Geosciences (Earthbyte Group) investigating mantle convection, plate motions and plate deformation to produce estimates of past dynamic topography for South America as part of the project “Dynamic Earth models and surface maps for South America” sponsored by Statoil.
Nicolas’ research interests are in the field of geodynamics, geophysics and geology, specifically looking at the evolution of sea level at different time scales. He completed his PhD (in cotutelle between ENS Lyon, France, and the University of Sydney) on the long-term evolution of sea level in relation with the secular cooling of the solid Earth in 2009.
